Macallan 18years Sherry Oak was originally released for the Travel Retail Market. A richly sherried style, matured exclusively in sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. A rich, dried fruit and Christmas cake nose with a sweet palate of raisins and sultanas, treacle toffee and orange zest, leading to a smooth finish, layered with Sherry Oak.
The Macallan 18-year-old Sherry Oak takes its rich colour from the traditional European oak casks which previously held sherry of the highest quality. This is the oldest expression in our range from exceptional single casks hand selected by our whisky makers. The natural colour and aroma of this elegant whisky are wonderfully complex, with hints of dried fruits, spice and chocolate orange balanced by a delicate oak flavor. The finish is long and gently warming, making The Macallan 18-year-old Sherry Oak a perfect after dinner treat. Macallan’s 18 Year Old has been crafted by artisanal craftsmen in small batches and made exclusively with sherry oak casks from the Jerez region in Spain, a process which takes time but creates an outstanding Single Malt of great depth and complexity.
