Our George Stagg whiskey is the oldest, strongest, and the rarest whiskey produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is a rich and intense spirit. The historical bottling, created under the supervision of master distiller Elmer T. Lee, has been named “Whiskey of the Year” by Whiskey Advocate Magazine.
The 2014 Barrel Proof (130.3) Bourbon is a release of barrels ranging from 9 to 15 years old, giving you notes of charred oak, toffee, and dark chocolate.
Aromas of cocoa, sugarcane bagasse, and toasted vanilla beans fill the senses, while flavors described as “intensely concentrated” are balanced by a delicate touch of cinnamon spice and a pleasantly long finish. You have to go big sometimes.
