Original from the Cask at Blanton’s Once the proof is low enough, the liquor is straight into bottles from the barrel. The proof varies from barrel to barrel but is usually between 115 and 130 proof. The result is an even richer, fruitier character than the single barrel.
A distinct bottle number, rack number, and warehouse letter are all bound to each bottle, indicating its precise position within the barrel house.
Blanton’s Straight from the Barrel was first offered in Japan and has since been available in select American airports. The present production involves bottling Blanton’s at its original cask strength, which often measures approximately 130 proof.
